Raining in Missouri
Im back on the air again and today Im in Mexico Missouri. I had a great weekend in Iowa thanks to Steve and Penny. On Friday night I went to a Earlham High School's football game part of the homecoming celebrations. Over the weekend I got a chance to step away from the vehicle for a welcome break and had a chance to find out about life in Iowa and the RCC breeding philosophies. I also had a chance to ride on a combine for an hour harvesting soya beans which were yielding very well. On Monday I visited Iowa state university to find out about their genomics research which is part of a project on animal health and meat healthy eating qualities. In the afternoon I got the chance to tour Pioneer Hi-Bred global headquarters and saw trial plots ans well as automated greenhouses and learnt about their breeding tchnology. I have done a lot more since then but Im pushed for time now. Hopefully I will get more done later today. Im heading NW to St Joseph and who knows tomorrow!
